I come here for the consistently great breakfast, and feel great every time I leave know that I am supporting not only a local family-owned quality establishment, but also supporting an owner who routinely donates his food and time to local organizations and families, including the schools and those who have lost loved ones. Plus my gut is all full of great chow and I feel like a big ol' bear who has to go lie down in the bushes and sleep it off for a day or so until I'm hungry again. The service is great, prices are right, and I love the red chili on anything I order for breakfast. I lean toward Ben's Favorite, a variant of huevos rancheros. Awesome baby! Coffee cups stay full. Unlike other reviewers, I don't think the place is cramped to the point it detracts from the experience any more than any other place in Durango especially. Lots of local sports photos on the walls. It ain't fancy, but that's fine by me. Not open for dinner and not open sundays (ah, hell).

We loved our breakfast here and even shared our table with another local couple. So glad we did as they were very nice. The food was great, plentiful and well worth the walk from the Strater Hotel. Would go to this local gem regularly if we lived there. Since we don't and we are planning to visit again to enjoy more of this area we will definitely go here again for breakfast.

We are so happy we chose CJ's -- the food was fabulous. My relatives were fighting over the leftovers! Thank you for listening, always promptly answering our emails, and going above and beyond to make our big day extra special (one less thing to stress over is priceless!!!) on your wedding day. We are grateful and extremely appreciative, and we hope to see you again at CJ's the next time we are in Durango.
Forever Thankful & Grateful

We were directed here by another eatery that said CJ's is a local spot that we would love and I thank you for sending us this way. We were taking our son to the airport; left early from Telluride due to construction along the mountains and arrived in Durango in time to grab a breakfast. It was DELICIOUS!!! It is not off a major road, so take the address down and plan a great breakfast here. Lots of locals, cowboys and families too. Their eggs are fresh; the chili sauces green or red = delicious and the price is good, staff friendly.

stopped here for breakfast after a night of camping outside of Durango. The food is great and the customer service is too. The owner even recognized that we weren't from around here and introduced himself. Such a good local stop!

Jerry, Katerina, and the whole team at CJ’s catering completely exceeded our expectations for our wedding catering needs! They provided us with the highest quality food and service, and were able to feed our large crowd of almost 300 people in an extremely organized and timely manner! They always kept an open line of communication with us and made the planning process a breeze, so we never had to worry about a thing. Their attention to detail is incredible, and they truly go above and beyond to make your catering experience as pleasant as possible. They treat you like family and your wedding day as if it were their own.
